karpski is a Gtk-based sniffer/protocol analyzer. It uses the
libpcap library written by
Van Jacobson and crew at
ftp.ee.lbl.gov. The various protocols are defined in karpski's definition file,
protocol_parser.dat. This file is written in my protocol description language which is in a state
of flux. Therefore, I will not describe this.
OPTIONS
devicec
Selects the device name (eg: eth0) which will be used to
capture packets.
