  • NAME
      kadmind4 - Obsolete Kerberos V4 admin server
  • SYNOPSIS
      kadmind4 [-DFhNn] [-a acl-dir] [-d db-name] [-f log-file] [-k keytab] [-r realm]
  • DESCRIPTION
kadmind4 is a Kerberos admin server speaking the legacy Kerberos V4 admin protocol and translating those requests into their V5 equivalents.  It is provided solely for backward compatibility with old Kerberos V4 installations and should not be run for any new installation.  If you are not upgrading an old, existing installation, you don't want to use this program.

As of October, 2003, MIT announced the end of life for this server. Because of the code quality and the relative scarcity of version 4 administration clients, it will no longer be supported beyond the 1.3.x versions of Kerberos.
